Fantasy Analysis

While it looks as though he will be ready by training camp, where Johnson plays in 2009-10 is still left to be determined. He is a free agent and is negotiating with the Caps, but Washington already has three goalies under contract -- Simeon Varlamov, Jose Theodore and Michal Neuvirth. It could be difficult for them to bring back Johnson, who went 12-6-2 with a 2.81 GAA and .908 save percentage in 21 games. Johnson has primarily been a backup goalie throughout his career and will likely serve in that role again in '09-10. Track his offseason progress, but Johnson isn't likely to have much Fantasy value.
