Fantasy Analysis

Koivu did practice with the Ducks on Wednesday, but coach Randy Carlyle did admit this injury is more serious than first thought. Groin injuries are sometimes tough to overcome for hockey players, so we aren't shocked Koivu is having a slow recovery. It comes at a bad time for Koivu, who was just settling into an offensive rhythm with the Ducks. Injuries have really hurt Koivu the last few seasons, so view him more as a No. 5 or No. 6 Fantasy forward when healthy.
