Garon falls to Canadiens: Columbus G Mathieu Garon allowed five goals to score on Tuesday night in a 5-3 loss to Montreal. Garon stopped 24 shots in all and possesses a 3-2 lead entering the 3rd period. That is when it went awry for the netminder. He gave up three straight goals in the 3rd to take the loss.

The defeat drops Garon's record on the season to 4-3-0 for the Blue Jackets. He's now lost two straight starts after winning his previous three. Garon has looked better than starter Steve Mason at times this season but remains just the back up. Garon remains more of a Fantasy reserve and flier in leagues that use average points per game. The Blue Jackets TG is more of a No. 2 option.
