  • Wild's Mathew Dumba: Hits 10-goal mark in loss to Blues

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/7/16) Dumba scored his 10th goal of the season and fired five shots on goal in Sunday's loss to the Blues.

While he's only got 23 points in 67 games, Dumba's 10 goals are impressive for a defenseman. The 21-year-old continues to log steady minutes for Minnesota and is manning the point on the top power-play unit with the talented Zach Parise up front, so make sure you get him in your lineup.

Wild's Mathew Dumba: Stays hot on offense

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/12/16) Dumba had an assist and 15 shot attempts in Thursday's loss to Washington.

Dumba has a point in five consecutive games as he's picking up the pace on offense after a slow start. He had just five points in his first 23 games.

Wild's Mathew Dumba: Comes out of break hot

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/4/16) Dumba scored a power-play goal and went minus-1 in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Rangers.

At the time, the Wild were rolling and the goal put them up 2-0, but things weren't destined to stay that way. They've been struggling, which has in turn impacted Dumba's rating -- he's gone minus-7 in the last 10 games. However, with three points in two games coming out of the break, he's been a bright spot, perhaps for the first time all year.

Wild's Mathew Dumba: Snaps lengthy slump with two helpers

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/3/16) Dumba picked up two assists -- one on the power play -- but went minus-2 in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Isles.

Even one point would have been a moral victory for Dumba after 14 consecutive games off the scoresheet, including all of January. This was, in fact, the 21-year-old's very first multi-point effort of the season. Last year's returns were limited (eight goals and eight assists through 58 games), but Dumba flashed plenty of promise and looked like he was building toward a major breakout; unfortunately, he's shown barely any improvement his year. It's nice that he still enjoys a power-play role, but the majority of Dumba's fantasy value comes in keeper leagues, where he still has some long-term appeal as 2012's No. 7 overall pick.

Wild's Mathew Dumba: Sets team record for defenseman with nine shots

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/3/16) Dumba set a Wild record for a defenseman with nine shots in Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to Tampa Bay.

His game has been a bit slow to develop, but he is firing pucks and at this rate, Dumba could ring up 150 over the season. He still won't crack the 30-point plateau, so his real value lies a couple years in the future.

April 2, 2015: Wild's Dumba Assists Twice In Loss
Dumba had the primary assist on both Minnesota goals in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Rangers.A very active game for Dumba, who pinched into the offensive zone frequently and aggressively. He's been a more frequent scoreboard presence of late, with five points in his last eight games. All in all, Dumba looks like he's got all the goods for a big breakout next year.
