  • Blue Jackets' Ryan Murray: Will start Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/2/16) Murray (undisclosed) will play Saturday, Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch reports.

Murray was a little banged up heading into Saturday's game, but he will take the ice and form part of the top defensive pairing like he regularly does.

Blue Jackets' Ryan Murray: Dealing with minor injuries

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/1/16) Coach John Tortorella indicated Friday that Murray is a "little banged up" in advance of Saturday's game against the Hurricanes, Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch reports.

The Blue Jackets again recalled Justin Falk on an emergency basis Friday, indicating Murray may be in danger of missing Saturday's contest. Expect another update on game day, as the blueliner again looks to avoid missing his first tilt of the season.

Blue Jackets' Ryan Murray: Will play Tuesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/8/16) As expected, Murray (illness) will suit up for Tuesday's game against the Red Wings.

Murray missed practice Monday due to an illness, but was never in serious danger of missing Tuesday's matchup with Detroit. The 22-year-old blueliner will slot into his usual role skating alongside Seth Jones on the Blue Jackets' top pairing in Tuesday's tilt.

Blue Jackets' Ryan Murray: Misses practice but should still play

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/7/16) Murray missed practice Monday due to illness, but is expected to suit up Tuesday against Detroit.

Murray needs just one more point this season to surpass the career high of 21 he set during his rookie season in 2013-14. Although the defenseman is riding a 19-game goalless streak, he has managed to add six helpers over that time frame. If he can shake his illness, the 22-year-old will look to snag that 22nd point against the Red Wings.

Blue Jackets' Ryan Murray: Collects two helpers Monday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/22/16) Murray dished out two assists in Monday's 6-4 win over Boston.

The apples snapped a six-game point drought for the 22-year-old. The second-overall pick in 2012, Murray has largely underwhelmed this season with 19 points in 60 games despite being afforded more minutes and a bigger role on the Jackets' blue line. He hardly ever shoots the puck too, as he has just two SOG in the last seven games combined and 56 total on the year. That seriously hinders his value in daily and season-long formats that count SOG, and combined with the addition of Seth Jones this year, makes him that much less of an attractive fantasy asset.
