Bruins buy out Schaefer: Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli announced Tuesday that Boston bought out the last year of forward Peter Schaefer’s contract. Schaefer spent all of 2008-2009 with the Providence Bruins recording seven goals and 19 assists for 26 points in 47 regular season games.
