Vokoun's shutout streak ends Friday: Tomas Vokoun, coming off back-to-back shutouts, made 21 saves for the Panthers during a 4-1 loss to the Capitals on Friday. Vokoun stopped 77 consecutive shots, dating to a second-period goal in Florida's 4-3 loss to Ottawa on Oct. 28, before Tyler Sloan scored in the first period. Washington scored one power-play goal against Vokoun, who has three losses in his last five starts.

Despite Friday's loss to Washington, Vokoun has still done enough in his recent starts to keep his job in net. It has not been pretty at times for Vokoun, but Florida is a work in progress, so he is not totally to blame. Vokoun remains a No. 2 Fantasy goalie. The Panthers TG is also a No. 2 option.

Vokoun, who beat St. Louis 4-0 on Saturday, got a measure of revenge against the Hurricanes. On Oct. 9 in a 7-2 loss at Carolina, he was pulled early in the third period after giving up five goals on 26 shots. He may have a hard time extending his shutout streak this weekend with a home-and-home series against the Washington Capitals.
