Fisher records short-handed tally: The Sports Xchange reports C Mike Fisher used his speed to out-race former teammate Zdeno Chara and score his 13th goal of the season shorthanded in the first period Tuesday against the Bruins. The goal snapped Fisher's drought at eight games.

A lot of folks were interested to see how well Fisher would play once Cory Clouston took over for Craig Hartsburg since Clouston's style was perfect for Fisher's offensive talents. Well, Fisher has had mild success under Clouston and really hasn't increased his value heading into 2009-10.

While the squad will be ripe with talented, offense-minded centers, Fisher's fast-skating, physical style might him the ideal middle man for an energy line.
