Cole has key goal in victory: Hurricanes LW Erik Cole scored a crucial goal during Thursday's 6-5 shootout win against the Maple Leafs. Ian White put the Maple Leafs ahead 5-4 with 29.9 seconds remaining, but Cole tapped in a rebound with 2.9 seconds left to force overtime. He also spent seven minutes in the penalty box, including five minutes for fighting with White.

Cole has had a slow start to the season for two reasons -- one he missed time with a broken leg and second is that linemate Eric Staal has been out with an injury of his own. Once Staal is healthy that will help Cole find his offensive game. Until then, Cole has low-end Fantasy appeal.
