  • Blues' Dmitrij Jaskin: Replaces Stastny on Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/12/17) Jaskin replaced the injured Paul Stastny (lower body) in the active lineup Saturday against Montreal. He had two hits, two blocks and a plus-1 rating over 8:24 of ice time on the fourth line in the Blues' 4-2 win.

Jaskin has had opportunities this season, but has been unable to parlay those chances into a full-time, every-night role. Now, with the Blues putting together a winning streak, he's typically the odd man out behind AHL callups Ivan Barbashev and Kenny Agostino. Stastny's injury is not considered serious, so we can expect to see Jaskin back on the bench, maybe as soon as Wednesday at Detroit.

Blues' Dmitrij Jaskin: Healthy scratch Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/8/17) Jaskin was not in the active lineup for Saturday's win over Dallas.

Jaskin was a healthy scratch as Nail Yakupov was moved back into the lineup Saturday. This was a minor tweak by coach Ken Hitchcock, who did not like the way his team played in Thursday's 4-0 whitewash at the hands of Carolina. Neither Jaskin nor Yakupov has been worthy of a fantasy lineup this season.

Blues' Dmitrij Jaskin: Picks up two assists against Flyers

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/29/16) Jaskin registered two third-period assists during Wednesday's win over Philadelphia.

It was the first multi-point showing of the season for Jaskin, and the 23-year-old winger has just one goal and nine points through 30 games this season. The lack of offensive production makes him a fantasy afterthought in the majority of seasonal leagues, especially considering he entered Wednesday's game averaging just 11:37 of ice per night.

Blues' Dmitrij Jaskin: Active for Tuesday's game

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/7/16) Jaskin, who had missed practice Monday due to an illness, was in the active lineup for Tuesday's game against Montreal. He had two hits and a minus-1 rating in 10:54 of ice time in St. Louis' 3-2 overtime win.

Jaskin was back in usual spot, playing wing on the third line, but had less ice time than normal as the Blues played catchup after falling behind by two goals. That meant more ice time for the team's offensive stars than guys like Jaskin.

Blues' Dmitrij Jaskin: Misses practice due to illness

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/5/16) Jaskin was absent from practice Monday with an illness but is expected to suit up versus Montreal on Tuesday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Jaskin finally found the back of the net Saturday against the Jets and will hope to carry that momentum forward against the Canadiens. The 23-year-old has yet to crack the 20-point mark in any of his NHL seasons which means fantasy owners should probably not expect a flurry of scoring in the future.
