  • Sharks' Troy Grosenick: Inks two-year extension with Sharks

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(6/5/17) Grosenick signed a two-year contract extension with the Sharks on Monday.

Grosenick hasn't seen action in the NHL since the 2014-15 season, when he started two games for the Sharks and posted a 1-1 record while recording the first ever shutout in a goalie's debut in franchise history. Most recently, Grosenick has been spending time in the AHL and was presented with the league's Aldege Bastien Award following the 2016-17 campaign, which is given to the league's top goaltender. However, the 27-year-old is not guaranteed significant playing time heading into next season.

Sharks' Troy Grosenick: Placed on waivers

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(10/3/16) Grosenick was waived by the Sharks on Monday for the purpose of reassignment to AHL San Jose, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Grosenick lost out to Aaron Dell in a training camp battle for the back-up job, although Dell was the favorite heading in. If he is unclaimed, Grosenick will return to the minors where he registered a 11-10-4 record along with a 3.16 GAA, something fans and the organization alike will want to see lowered this year. In addition to the netminder, the Sharks also waived defenseman Dan Kelly.

Sharks' Troy Grosenick: Will see preseason action Tuesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(9/27/16) Grosenick will start in goal for Tuesday night's game against the visiting Canucks.

Grosenick shined in two appearances with Team Teal last November, allowing three goals on 58 shots between the Hurricanes and Sabres. Still, the undrafted netminder carried a 3.16 GAA over 28 games with AHL San Jose, suggesting that he has plenty of room for improvement. No matter how he performs Tuesday, expect the Sharks to also give Mantas Armalis a look in Tuesday's exhibition contest.

Sharks' Troy Grosenick: Returns to AHL

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/7/16) The Sharks have reassigned Grosenick to the AHL on Thursday.

Grosenick was just up in the NHL while the Sharks attempted to get Alex Stalock some reps in the AHL. The up and down for Grosenick does not represent a change in his status as third in the pecking order for the Sharks.

Sharks' Troy Grosenick: Heads to NHL

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/3/16) Grosenick was recalled to the NHL, reports CSN Bay Area's Kevin Kurz.

This likely doesn't mean that Grosenick will play, as the team has reassigned Alex Stalock to the AHL for conditioning. Grosenick will be backing up Martin Jones.
