Emery drops third straight start: Sabres C Tim Connolly lifted a wrist shot from the slot high over Philadelphia goaltender Ray Emery to break a 2-2 tie at 5:27 in the final period on Friday. He scored again at 10:18 when his shot bounced off Ray Emery's mask in a 4-2 defeat of the Flyers. "Their fourth goal was a bit lucky," center Mike Richards said. "But I thought we had some [scoring] chances. We just didn't capitalize like they did." Emery, who lost his third straight start, had 21 saves. He lost a 2-1 first-period lead.

This losing streak is overshadowing what has been a good start for Emery in his first season back in the NHL. He has managed to keep his composure and play well at the same time. Philly is going to make some noise in the Eastern Conference, so don't give up on Emery. Just treat him more as a No. 2 Fantasy goalie. The Flyers TG is a No. 2 option.
