Canes hope for Ward return on Dec. 5: The Raleigh News & Observer reports that the Hurricanes hope to have G Cam Ward (leg) back on Dec. 5 against the Canucks. "We're hopeful of that," GM Jim Rutherford said Wednesday. "That would be the earliest. It may be longer."

Ward suffered a nasty cut on his leg on Nov. 7, but luckily this isn't the kind of injury that will linger. Carolina have been horrible this year, but Ward is a quality goalie and should be considered a low-end No. 1 Fantasy goalie when he does return.
