Carter ends goals drought Monday: Mike Richards and Jeff Carter scored two goals apiece and rookie David Laliberte and Scott Hartnell also tallied, leading Philadelphia to a 6-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday night. Carter, who played despite the flu, had gone seven games without scoring. He made it 3-0 with a wrist shot 3:20 into the second. Carter then had a power-play score in the third. He finished with three points and a plus-2 rating.

Carter didn't have a bad October with four goals and 11 points in 11 games. His production did get a little thin over the last half of the month, but he has started November on the right foot. Carter has reached the level in his career that even if he is in a drought, he is still worth starting in Fantasy because he is such a big offensive threat.
