Giordano nets two points vs. Canucks: Rene Bourque, Brandon Prust and defensemen Mark Giordano and Adam Pardy scored for the Flames, and defenseman Dion Phaneuf added an empty-netter to seal the win during Thursday's 5-3 victory against the Canucks. Giordano, who also had an assist, opened the scoring with a power-play goal 5:50 into the first.

Giordano returned to the NHL in 2008-09 after spending a season overseas. He had a career-high 19 points, but played in just 58 games due to injury. If he is healthy in 2009-10, Giordano should be a regular on the Flames' blue line. He has offensive skills, but we still like Giordano as a low-end Fantasy option.
