Perrin another player to leave NHL: Free agent center Eric Perrin has signed a contract with Avangard Omsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (Russia). Perrin spent the last two seasons with the Thrashers.

Perrin, who recorded 23 points in 78 games last season, had a tough falling out with the Thrashers. He claimed he wasn't being utilized enough offensively after John Anderson took over the coaching reigns in 2008-09. He wanted to be traded, but finished out the year and has now left the NHL entirely. It's safe to ignore him on Draft Day.

RW Eric Perrin has built of plenty of frustrations this season as his playing time has decreased. On Saturday in Buffalo, Perrin released his anger on Tim Connolly, whose elbow in the previous period knocked Jim Slater out of the game. Perrin took a full speed run at Connolly as soon as the puck dropped to start the third period. The blatant charging penalty also resulted in a 10-minute misconduct. 31/5/2009
