Capitals dispute Ovechkin report: The Capitals issued a brief statement on Sunday in regards to a Yahoo interview with left wing Alex Ovechkin, which quoted the two-time MVP saying he will be out 4-5 weeks with an upper-body injury. The statement read: "The Washington Capitals dispute the validity of this report."

Ovechkin is dealing with a strain near his left (non-shooting) shoulder. He is officially listed by the team as week-to-week, but Washington is hoping he will be back sooner rather than later. Team officials seemed upset with the Yahoo interview and quickly put out the fire. Ovechkin remains an injury-risk start for Week 6 (Nov. 9-15) since there isn't a lot known about his status.
