  • Canadiens' Carey Price: Eliminated from playoffs with Game 6 defeat

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/23/17) Price stopped 20 of 22 shots in Saturday's Game 6 loss to the Rangers.

With the loss, Price and the Habs are eliminated from the playoffs. The 29-year-old had a strong individual postseason, posting a .933 save percentage, but ultimately he was outdueled by opposing netminder Henrik Lundqvist. Fresh off a Vezina Trophy nomination, Price will have to make an important decision this summer regarding his future with one year left on his contract. Whether or not he remains in Montreal, Price proved once again this season that he's a top-tier fantasy netminder.

Canadiens' Carey Price: In goal for Saturday's Game 6

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/22/17) Price will start between the pipes in Saturday's Game 6 against the Rangers, TSN Montreal's John Lu reports.

Price was pretty sharp in Thursday's Game 5 overtime loss, turning aside 33 of the the 36 shots he faced. The 29-year-old netminder has played well throughout Montreal's first-round matchup with New York, maintaining an admirable 1.82 GAA and .936 save percentage through the first five games of the series. He'll look to stay hot Saturday and help his team force a Game 7.

Canadiens' Carey Price: Takes heartbreaker in overtime

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/20/17) Price made 33 saves on 36 shots in Thursday's Game 5 overtime loss against the Rangers.

This 3-2 loss now has the Habs down 3-2 in the series, but you can't blame Price, who made a load of brilliant saves in this game, including several in the fourth period. However, the Rangers utterly dominated the pace of play in OT against a tired-looking Montreal club, so it was only a matter of time before they broke through. Now Price and his mates will head to New York for Saturday's Game 6, trying to stave off elimination.

Canadiens' Carey Price: Named Game 5 starter

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/20/17) Price will be in the blue paint for Thursday's Game 5 against the Rangers, John Lu of TSN reports.

Despite being on the losing end in Game 4, Price's stellar play continued, as he stopped 30 of 32 shots. Somewhat surprisingly, Price has been slightly worse at home since Claude Julien took over behind the bench. In 13 games, the former Hart Trophy winner is 7-6-0 with a 1.82 GAA and .934 save percentage. Though his record leaves something to be desired, his individual statistics are fantastic, showing that he's putting his team in strong position to win every time he's between the pipes.

Canadiens' Carey Price: Loses Game 4 despite 30 saves

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/18/17) Price suffered a tight 2-1 loss to the Rangers in Tuesday's Game 4, giving up two goals on 32 shots.

He's posted save marks of .921 or better in each of the four games of this series, and yet it's tied at 2-2 heading into Thursday's Game 5 in Montreal. That has to be frustrating for Price, but he's used to having to carry an average (bordering on subpar) offense with his elite play. Look for Price and Henrik Lundqvist to continue dueling it out; it's anyone's series at this point.
