Penner has two goals vs. Ducks: Dustin Penner scored twice against his former teammates, Dwayne Roloson made 51 saves, and the Edmonton Oilers beat Anaheim 5-3 on Friday night to vault over the Ducks in the battle for a playoff berth. Penner scored his first of the night just 1:11 in. Penner's 16th goal was set up by Shawn Horcoff, who sliced across the crease and slid a pass between Jean-Sebastien Giguere's pads to Penner near the right post. Penner scored his second of the game and 17th of the season with a shot from near the right post at 2:40 of the second, sliding the puck into the net just inside the left post.

Fantasy Analysis

Penner has three goals and four assists in his last six games. He has been doing well since a move to the fourth line and it seems to be fitting him well since the pressure is off. Penner had his best stretch earlier this season playing with Ales Hemsky and Shawn Horcoff. However, when the two forwards battled injury, Penner got lost in the shuffle and couldn't regain his offensive touch. He has been a free-agent disappointment since coming to Edmonton in 2007-08 and has low-end Fantasy appeal despite the recent surge.
