  • Ducks' Kevin Bieksa: In Sunday's lineup

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/17/16) Bieksa (upper body) will return to Sunday's Game 2 lineup against the Predators, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.

Already deemed healthy, the blueliner was considered a strong candidate to rejoin the lineup Sunday after missing the Ducks' first postseason game. That will indeed be the case, and Bieksa seems likely to return to the power play with that. While he hasn't lit up the scoreboard this season (15 points in 71 games), Bieksa has contributed across the board with 109 shots on goal, 99 penalty minutes, 152 hits and 108 blocked shots.

Ducks' Kevin Bieksa: Healthy, but no lock to play Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/16/16) Bieksa (upper body) will be available Sunday night for Game 3 against the Predators. Thomas Willis, Interactive Media Manager for the Preds, adds that Bieksa could be in the lineup if Josh Manson (upper body injury) proves unfit to play.

Since Bieksa's return is dependent on the health of another player, he'll be too risky to count on in playoff settings. If both defensemen are held out, Shea Theodore and Korbinian Holzer could be called upon for work in Game 2.

Ducks' Kevin Bieksa: Ruled out Friday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/15/16) Bieksa (upper body) did not go out for warmups and figures to sit Friday's game against the Predators, Orange County Register's Eric Stephens reports.

Shea Theodore was in the pregame rushes and is set to make his playoff debut with Bieksa out. Make sure to get Bieksa out of any daily lineups Friday, if possible. Game 2 is Sunday, and he should be considered questionable for that contest.

Ducks' Kevin Bieksa: Game-time call for Game 1

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/15/16) Bieksa (upper body) is officially a game-time decision for Game 1 against the Predators.

Bieksa was believed to be probable earlier in the week, but it appears the team will wait until pregame warmups to make the call on his status. Expect another update when that happens, with Shea Theodore and Korbinian Holzer likely at the ready should he be unavailable.

Ducks' Kevin Bieksa: Probable for start of postseason

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/12/16) Bieksa (upper body) has been skating to prepare for Friday's Game 1 playoff match against the Predators. He's officially probable for that contest.

Bieksa missed the last nine games of the regular season, but his probable tag, along with the fact that he's skating three days ahead of the Ducks' playoff opener, are both good indications that he'll be able to suit up Friday. He's anything but a regular offensive contributor, but Bieksa did average 1:29 of ice time on the man advantage this season. Of his 15 points, he had six markers on the power play. Bieksa is a sneaky option if your playoff pool tacks on points for defensive stats. The veteran laid 152 hits on opponents and also redirected 108 shots.
