Series MVP
Carolina G Cam Ward
The Hurricanes weren't expected to compete with, let alone
defeat the Bruins, but Ward's effort made it a reality. Although
he endured a couple rough stretches, the netminder was dominant
in Games 2 through 4, holding the Bruins to three goals on 80
shots. That allowed Carolina to take a 3-1 lead in the
series. In Game 7, after giving up a tying goal to Milan Lucic,
Ward stopped 16 shots in the third and overtime periods.
