It is a matter of pride and bragging rights in New York when these two rivals square off. It always has been. That means uniforms, too, in addition to the on-ice battles. While the Rangers' -- one of the NHL's Original Six teams -- traditional uniforms stay intact, the Islanders go with some modifications. Long gone is the fisherman logo from the Island, and a lot of orange is prevalent on the arms. Good or bad? It's a matter of taste and support for the team. We'll stick with the Rangers' appealing colors and diagonal text. And while we're at it, we might as well give the season-series edge to the Manhattan club as well.
