RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday recalled forwards Keith Aucoin and Brandon Nolan from Albany of the American Hockey League.

They were expected to be available when Carolina played host to the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night, said Jim Rutherford, Hurricanes president and general manager.

It was the third time Aucoin and Nolan were each recalled from Albany. They were both reassigned to the River Rats on Tuesday. Aucoin played for the Hurricanes against Boston that night, while Nolan was reassigned before the game.

Nolan has an assist in four games this season, and Aucoin has three assists in nine games.
