Blue Jackets sign defenseman Plekhanov, two other minor leaguers

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets signed defenseman Andrei Plekhanov to a two-year contract and defenseman Clay Wilson and left wing John Vigilante to one-year deals on Tuesday.

Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Plekhanov spent most of last season with the club's American Hockey League affiliate in Syracuse, where he scored nine goals and had 16 assists.

Wilson, acquired in a trade with Anaheim last November, had one goal and one assist in seven games with Columbus last season.

Vigilante has spent the past two seasons with the Nashville Predators' AHL affiliate in Milwaukee, where he had 23 goals and 50 assists.
