Thrashers reach deal with veteran center Reasoner

ATLANTA -- Free-agent center Marty Reasoner agreed to a deal with the Atlanta Thrashers on Thursday after playing with Edmonton for six seasons.

The 31-year-old Reasoner had 11 goals and 14 assists with the Oilers last season. He also has played with Boston and St. Louis during his nine-year career.

The Thrashers also re-signed restricted free agent forward Brett Sterling to a multiyear contract. The 24-year-old played in 13 games last season, his first in the NHL, and scored one goal with two assists.
