Blackhawks sign Pelletier after trade with Bruins

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Blackhawks signed Pascal Pelletier to a one-year contract Friday.

The 25-year-old center came to the Blackhawks from the Boston Bruins in a July 24 trade for center Martin St. Pierre.

Pelletier played in six games last season with Boston. He scored 71 goals in 206 regular-season games with Providence of the AHL between 2005-08.
