Blue Jackets trade Pineault for Blackhawks left wing Blunden

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets acquired left wing Mike Blunden from the Chicago Blackhawks in a trade Saturday for right wing Adam Pineault.

The Blue Jackets assigned Blunden to their AHL affiliate in Syracuse.

The 22-year-old has tallied three goals and seven assists in 37 games with the Blackhawks' AHL affiliate this season. He was drafted into the NHL in 2005.
