SAN JOSE, Calif. -- The San Jose Sharks have placed defenseman Rob Blake on injured reserve with an undisclosed upper body injury and recalled defenseman Derek Joslin from Worcester of the American Hockey League.
Blake was injured during the second period of Wednesday's game in Columbus and placed on the injured list Thursday. Blake is the team's captain and has one goal and five assists this season.
Joslin appeared in two games with the Sharks earlier this season.
