Coyotes recall blueline bruiser Yonkman
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Phoenix Coyotes have recalled bruising defenseman Nolan Yonkman from their AHL affiliate in San Antonio.
Yonkman, 29, played 50 career games with Washington, scoring one goal with seven assists after the Capitals selected him in the second round of the 1999 NHL draft.
The 6-foot-6, 247-pound Yonkman played 12 games for San Antonio without notching a point this year and spent last season with the Milwaukee Admirals.
