PLAYER NOTES

--C John Tavares, playing in his 200th NHL game, assisted on the Islanders' lone goal in Saturday's 5-1 road loss to the Coyotes. Tavares, the first overall pick in the 2009 draft, has two goals and nine points during a five-game point streak.

--G Evgeni Nabokov gave up five goals on 25 shots for his second straight loss following a personal three-game winning streak. He fell to 5-10-0 overall in 17 appearances.

--C Jay Pandolfo returned to the lineup after missing 17 games with a broken foot, registering one shot on goal over 10:48 of fourth-line ice time.

MEDICAL WATCH

--G Rick DiPietro (groin) remains out indefinitely with a groin injury suffered Dec. 3.

--G Al Montoya (concussion) is out indefinitely with a concussion suffered Dec. 20.

--D Mike Mottau (concussion) is out indefinitely with a concussion suffered Jan. 3.

--C Marty Reasoner (thumb) suffered a broken thumb Jan. 6 and is expected to be out until early March.

--LW David Ullstrom (concussion) has resumed skating but remains out indefinitely with a concussion suffered Dec. 20.
