Tampa Bay gets rare road power-play goal

--The Lightning notched just their ninth road power-play goal of the season when defenseman Bruno Gervais scored his first power-play goal of the season in a 4-3 overtime loss to the New York Rangers. Tampa Bay improved to 9-for-95 on the power play on the road this season.

--Center Dominic Moore caught the Rangers ire on Thursday with what New York felt was a dirty hit on Ruslan Fedotenko in the third period. Moore leaned back into Fedotenko and caught the Rangers forward on the chin with his shoulder. New York forward Brian Boyle called it a "dirty, dirty hit," but Moore said he did not intend to hit Fedotenko in the head.

"I was coming into the slot and trying to make myself available for a shot," Moore said. "Their guy, and I didn't know who it was until after, tried to come over and take me away. I was just trying to compete for body position and I guess he wasn't ready for that."

--Tampa Bay fell to 15-1-1 when leading after the second period this season. Both losses have come at the hands of the New York Rangers.
