Teammates impressed by Kiprusoff
Miikka Kiprusoff might not get any consideration for the Vezina Trophy, but his teammates think he's playing as well as he did when he won it in 2006.
The Flames goaltender was the main reason the Flames beat the Vancouver Canucks in a shootout Saturday night. He made 29 saves through 65 minutes and then two more in the showdown against counterpart Roberto Luongo.
"This whole year is as good as I've seen him play," said Flames captain Jarome Iginla, who scored the shootout winner. "He's won the Vezina, he's been at the top many times. But he's played as good as ever. He's in every game. He never gives up on the save.
"He's fun to watch as a player. He's jumping around. He'll do whatever he has to do to keep it out. It's impressive.
"We're very fortunate to have him."
