At least they have their health
--For the first time this season, the Jets don't have anyone on the injured list. C Tim Stapleton and RW Kyle Wellwood returned from the flu on Saturday, meaning the Jets have their full complement of players with two months to go. If they're going to qualify for the postseason, and right now it's not looking good, at least they can give it their best shot.
--C Andrew Ladd has taken a lot of heat from the fan base because of his penchant for taking offensive zone penalties, and they were all over him on Saturday after he delivered a retaliatory slash with three minutes left in the third and the Jets trailing by two goals.
The last time he took a penalty was on Feb. 2, and it was a slash with 4:10 left in the third period and the score tied 1-1.
Making matters worse is the fact that the captain, who is making $4.4 million a season, hasn't scored in a season-long stretch of 10 games.
QUOTE TO NOTE
"I don't like shootouts at all. I don't know why. I feel a little bit of pressure on the shootouts, especially when the guy scores." -- Jets G Ondrej Pavelec, who has a career mark of 6-12 in the penalty shot contest but has won two in a row.
