Sutter makes lineup change
--At the end of a six-game, 11-day road trip, and at the end of a back-to-back set of games -- and the third game in four days -- Kings coach Darryl Sutter elected to make only one lineup change Sunday in Dallas, as Kevin Westgarth replaced Trent Hunter. That meant that underachieving veteran winger Dustin Penner -- five goals in 43 games -- was made a healthy scratch for a second consecutive game, as the Kings gave another chance to rookie wingers Dwight King and Jordan Nolan instead.
--Around the world, it was a big weekend for the Nolan family. On Friday morning, 22-year-old rookie winger Jordan Nolan was called up from the American Hockey League to make his NHL debut for the Kings. Nolan played Saturday against the New York Islanders. Watching from the other side of the world was Nolan's father, Ted, the former NHL player and coach who now coaches Latvia's national team. (Nolan is also a former coach of the Islanders). Nolan did have some first-hand support, though. His mother was in attendance and his brother was able to fly down from Toronto.
QUOTE TO NOTE
"Well, you want to be the No. 1 team in the league. I think there's probably 20 of us (teams) that would like to have more scoring." -- Kings coach Darryl Sutter, on the team's need for more offense.
