Roster Report
PLAYER NOTES
--RW Jakub Voracek was hit by New York D Ryan McDonagh 6:45 into the second period. Voracek missed a good chunk of the period and played one shift with four minutes to go in the second period, but didn't return after that. Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said Voracek has an upper-body injury but would still make the trip to Detroit.
--RW Wayne Simmonds seems to excel in physical games. He had a Gordie Howe hat trick with his career-high 18th goal of the season, assisted on C Claude Giroux's goal and fought C Brandon Dubinsky in the third period.
"He is playing well for us lately," Giroux said. "He is winning battles, going to the net and he is getting some goals for us. He is playing well for us. Other guys need to step up."
