Chicago not shopping for goalie

  •

--Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman reiterated his stance that he's not looking for goaltending help in the trade market, telling Comcast SportsNet in Chicago that he's forging ahead with Corey Crawford and Ray Emery. That comes after increased speculation that the Hawks should pursue one to enliven their team.

"We're not focused on goaltending. We're really not," Bowman said. "I know there's a lot of talk about that, but internally, we have to focus on the guys we have, and turning it around from within."

Emery started his second game in a row Tuesday against the Predators. He made 16 saves in a 3-2 loss.

--Coach Joel Quenneville adjusted his lines again in search of any kind of spark. This time, he reunited the lethal trio of left wing Patrick Sharp, center Jonathan Toews and right wing Patrick Kane. They've played really well in the past, especially early on in the careers of Toews and Kane. Quenneville has often turned to them in games to win certain shifts and produce. During the Hawks' Stanley Cup-winning season, Sharp played primarily center. This season, he's been used entirely on the wing. "We've played together in the past and had success," Sharp said. "We're looking for any kind of a spark offensively and hopefully the three of us can do that." All three were held off the score sheet Tuesday against the Predators. Each one was a minus-1.

--The Blackhawks' power play went 0-for-3 against the Predators. It is 0-for-19 through seven games of their nine-game road trip. It last scored Jan. 24 against the Predators.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"It gets your attention. I think we're all aware of our business and how things develop." -- Coach Joel Quenneville, on the possibility of getting fired for the Hawks' season-worst skid.
