Tampa Bay endures first home shutout since 2010

  •

--Tampa Bay was shut out for the second time this season in Tuesday's 4-0 loss to Ottawa behind Craig Anderson's 28 saves. The other shutout loss came in St. Louis in a 3-0 setback. The shutout on home ice was the first for Tampa Bay since Henrik Lundqvist beat Tampa Bay 5-0 on April 2, 2010.

--The Lightning's power play continues to baffle the coaching staff. One of the top five power plays in the league last season, Tampa Bay has dipped to 29th overall this season with 26 games remaining. The Lightning are ranked last in road power play (9.0 percent) and a 7-for-72 slump -- including 0-for-2 against Ottawa -- has dropped them to near the bottom in the overall standings.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"We all know what to do, it's just about executing." -- Lightning F Ryan Malone, after a 4-0 loss to Ottawa that keeps Tampa Bay eight points out of a playoff position with 26 games left to play.
