NHL likely to look at Quincey's elbowing penalty

--Wings D Kyle Quincey was ejected from Sunday's game for elbowing Tomas Kopecky, but he was relieved to see the Florida forward return. Quincey received a major penalty for elbowing and a game misconduct for the hit at 5:38 of the third period. The play likely will be reviewed by NHL vice president of player safety Brendan Shanahan. Quincey has never been suspended and has never received a major penalty for a hit. He hopes the league will take that into account.

--Wings C Pavel Datsyuk brought the Joe Louis Arena crowd to its feet yet again on Sunday by reaching into his deep bag of tricks. Standing behind the Florida net with the puck, Datsyuk lifted it over the net. It dropped in front of goaltender Scott Clemmensen. Brian Campbell knocked it away, but Nicklas Lidstrom got off a shot, which Clemmensen smothered with 4:49 to play in the third period.

"We're back into fourth place and we've got to continue to find a way in the next three to keep home ice for the first round. I think we needed to play a tight one like this to be able to come out on top. I think it's huge for our confidence." -- Wings G Jimmy Howard.
