Third-longest game in team history

--At 114 minutes, 41 seconds, the game was the third-longest in Capitals history, behind only a four-overtime loss to the Penguins on April 24, 1996 and a four-overtime loss to the Islanders on April 18, 1987.

--Nine of the Capitals' 10 playoff games have been one-goal games and five have been decided in overtime. They've played in games decided in the first, second and third overtimes.

--The Capitals and Rangers combined for 95 shots, 105 hits and 81 blocked shots. The Capitals fell to 1-3 at home in the playoffs.
