LOS ANGELES -- Free-agent forward Valeri Bure agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Kings on a one-year contract Friday.
The 31-year-old Bure, who split the 2003-04 season with Dallas and Florida, has scored at least 20 goals during five of his 11 NHL seasons.
Bure has 174 goals and 226 assists in 621 NHL games. He had 22 goals and 30 points in 2003-04 while playing in 68 regular-season games with the Stars and Panthers.
He and his wife, actress Candace Cameron, already have a home in nearby Malibu, and another in Florida. The couple has three children.
"This is certainly an exciting day for myself and my family," Bure said in a statement. "The Kings were my first choice and I am eager to take to the ice at Staples Center in a Kings uniform. Having not played last year, training camp can't come fast enough for me."
Bure's brother, Pavel, is a former All-Star, and Valeri assisted on two of Pavel's goals in the 2000 All-Star Game.
The Kings also agreed to terms Friday on a five-year deal with right wing Alexander Frolov, a restricted free agent. Frolov led the Kings with 24 goals in 2003-04 and was second on the team with 48 points.
