Jackets' Zherdev out indefinitely; Fritsche called up

Presented by Epson

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets added Dan Fritsche on Monday to replace injured forward Nikolai Zherdev.

Zherdev sprained his knee in Saturday night's 5-2 win over Chicago and is out indefinitely. He leads the Blue Jackets in goals (27) and ranks second in points (54) in 73 games.

Fritsche, recalled from the club's AHL affiliate in Syracuse, had four goals and five assists in 51 games with Columbus this season. He had three goals and seven points in 18 games with the Crunch.
