Stars retain Daley for two years to stock up on defense

DALLAS -- The Dallas Stars re-signed defenseman Trevor Daley to a two-year contract Thursday.

The 22-year-old Daley scored three goals and had 11 assists in 81 games last season.

Daley's signing gives the Stars more depth on defense, joining Sergei Zubov, Philippe Boucher and offseason acquisitions Darryl Sydor and Jaroslav Modry.
