Canucks center Green sidelined with broken toe

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Canucks center Josh Green will be out at least two weeks after breaking his toe during practice Wednesday.

Forward Matt Cooke may also miss Saturday's home game against Colorado after suffering an upper body injury during Thursday's 2-1 loss to Anaheim.

Green has one goal and three assists in 25 games this season.

Vancouver recalled center Rick Rypien and left wing Tyler Bouck from Manitoba of the AHL.

To make room on the roster Vancouver sent rookie right wing Jesse Schultz back to Manitoba. Schultz did not have a point playing on the Canucks second line and second power play unit the last two games.

Rypien -- a cousin of former NFL quarterback Mark Rypien -- has three goals and six points in 14 games in Manitoba this season. Bouck has four points in 20 games.
