News
Vrbata extended his point streak to nine games Sunday, notching his 15th goal of the season and adding a helper in a win over Buffalo.

That's consecutive multi-point games for Vrbata, who is one of the hottest players in the NHL right now. He's been on an offensive tear since mid-January and appears destined to crack 50 points for the third time in the last four years. He skates on the top line and plays on the power play, so while the Coyotes may be one of the worst teams in the NHL, Vrbata is worth owning in most leagues based on his role and consistent production.

News
Smith gave up four goals on 14 shots and was pulled at the second intermission of Tuesday's 4-1 road loss to the Bruins.

After he let a 1-1 game turn into a three-goal deficit during the second frame -- including two goals in the period's last two minutes -- Smith got the hook, but it was far too late. Perhaps he wasn't quite over the illness that kept him out the past two games, or perhaps Smith was just overmatched by the Bruins' tough offense. Either way, the recent returns haven't been very promising, as he's now given up a painful 26 goals over his last eight starts.

News
Ekman-Larsson failed to register a point for the fifth consecutive game during Sunday's win over Buffalo.

It's been a disappointing fantasy campaign for Ekman-Larsson, and after posting a career-high 55 points last year, his 10 goals and 23 helpers this season represent a significant decline. The 25-year-old defenseman has started 56.7 percent of his five-on-five shifts in the defensive zone, and with Arizona shedding assets leading into the trade deadline, it's unlikely Ekman-Larsson heats up down the stretch. Outside of his minus-20 rating, he's still an excellent asset in all seasonal settings, but you'll want to continue keeping your expectations in check.

Burmistrov (undisclosed) was treated and released from a Boston-area hospital Tuesday, Sarah McLellan of The Arizona Republic reports.

Burmistrov will rejoin his teammates this evening. His status for Thursday's game in Buffalo is still a little murky, but it sounds like the center dodged a huge bullet after a crushing hit.

Max Domi, # 16

News
Domi extended his point streak to four games Sunday, notching a goal and an assist in a win over the Sabres.

Domi has been clicking well with Radim Vrbata on the top line of late, but he's still only managed seven goals in 38 games. He's still very young, however, and the team's overall struggles certainly aren't helping his efforts to find twine more often. Domi's 26 points and top-six role make him worth owning in most leagues and this recent surge indicates things are only going to get better.

News
Murphy has 33 hits and 25 blocked shots over his past 15 games.

The 23-year-old defenseman also has a goal, six points and a plus-3 rating over that 15-game stretch, so Murphy is currently moving the fantasy needle in deep seasonal leagues. While no one should confuse Murphy with a go-to option, if you're searching for peripheral statistical coverage from the blue line, he is a potential short-term fit.

Tobias Rieder, # 8

News
Rieder only logged 14 seconds of power-play time during Sunday's win over Buffalo.

Already a fringe option in deep seasonal settings, missing out on shifts with the man advantage is considerable hit to Rieder's fantasy value. Through 12 February games the 24-year-old winger has just two goals and four points while averaging 16:27 of ice time (0:47 on the power play). The Arizona depth chart projects to see a few more players depart by Wednesday's trade deadline, though, so Rieder could begin seeing more power-play time and offensive opportunities down the stretch. It's likely best to take a wait-and-see approach for now and leave him to the waiver wire in most leagues.

Josh Jooris, # 86

News
Jooris registered a third-period assist during Sunday's win over Buffalo.

With Martin Hanzal already shipped out of town leading into the trade deadline and others potentially relocating, Jooris stands to see regular playing time down the stretch. He's flashed some offensive ability in stretches throughout his career, but without a top-six role, it's unlikely Jooris warrants fantasy attention. He has just three goals and seven points through 33 games this season, after all.
