News
Vanek scored the lone goal in Monday's win over Detroit.

A couple injuries have been the only thing to slow Vanek down this season, as the 32-year-old winger has an impressive 12 goals, 30 points and 78 shots through 33 games. He's having his best offensive showing since registering 41 points through 38 games during the lockout-shortened 2012-13 campaign. Additionally, among all players with at least 400 minutes entering Monday's games, Vanek's 3.61 points per 60 minutes rank second in the league behind only Sidney Crosby. Vanek's a must-own player in all fantasy settings.

News
Ericsson has eight points in 41 games this year, and is on pace for a new career high in PIM and hits.

The big stay-at-home rearguard has amassed 57 PIM and 74 hits thus far, putting him on pace for 100-plus PIM and nearly 150 hits -- both of which would surpass his previous career bests of 87 and 128. Of course, his lack of offensive production keeps him off the fantasy radar in most settings, but his peripheral stats could be of use in the very deepest leagues.

News
Tatar scored a goal and added two assists with plus-4 rating during Monday's win over Boston.

It was a rare offensive outburst for the 26-year-old winger, as Tatar is currently having his worst statistical season since becoming a regular during the 2013-14 campaign. With a top-six role and power-play time, though, there is potential for Tatar to pick up his production. However, he's also playing through a shoulder injury and hoping to delay surgery until the offseason. There's a risk he shuts his season down if Detroit begins to play meaningless games, which looks likely at this stage of the game.

News
DeKeyser tallied a helper in Monday's 1-0 win over the Canadiens.

The apple snapped a 16-game point streak for the top-pairing defender, who has regressed this season with just seven points and a minus-13 rating through 44 contests. DeKeyser managed 20, 31 and 23 points, respectively, over the last three seasons, but unless he cranks his scoring pace up in the second half, his run of reaching even the modest 20-point plateau will come to an end.

Jared Coreau, # 31

News
Coreau allowed three goals on eight shots before being pulled just 8:50 into the first period of Wednesday's game against Boston.

The rookie earned the start after shutting out Montreal on Monday and wasn't credited with a loss Wednesday because Detroit came back and won the game in a shootout. Still, Coreau will likely play second fiddle to Petr Mrazek going forward, and Mrazek turned away 23 of 25 shots in relief of Coreau on Wednesday. The freshman should return to being the backup for one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference, which isn't a friendly fantasy situation.

News
Through 29 games, Ouellet has six points, 36 PIM and 39 shots on goal while averaging 18:14 of ice time.

The 23-year-old rarely gets on the scoresheet, but is showing signs of growth as a young defenseman in his first full NHL season. Prior to this year, the most games he'd played with the big club was 21 -- when he produced three points and averaged 16:23 per contest -- so his additional ice time, 28 hits and 41 blocked shots in 2016-17 are an encouraging sign. That said, he's not likely to deliver much fantasy value at this stage of his career and can safely be avoided in most formats.

News
Larkin registered a goal with an assist and a plus-4 rating during Monday's win over Boston.

This was Larkin's first multi-point outing since Oct. 25, and the sophomore has struggled to provide consistent offense throughout the season. 12 goals, 18 points and a minus-13 rating don't move the fantasy needle in most seasonal settings, and while Larkin has a good shot at turning things around, there are no guarantees. After all, his struggles date back to the end of his debut campaign (five goals and seven points over the final 28 games of 2015-16).
