Clutterbuck (leg) will play Saturday in Detroit, reports Newsday's Arthur Staple.

Clutterbuck narrowly escaped serious injury after his skate blade was caught in the boards during the game Thursday. He left the game briefly to have both his knee and ankle examined but all tests were positive and he was able to return to the game.

News
Grabovski scored his eighth goal of the year and assisted on another in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Isles.

Both points came in cooperation with John Tavares, who had the primary assist on the Belarusian's goal and then put one home himself (with Grabovski netting the lone helper) late in the game. That's terrific news for the 32-year-old Grabovski, who's racked up four points in three games since getting promoted to the No. 1 forward unit. However, he's not sticking with Tavares in special-teams situations.

News
Halak suffered another loss Thursday in Washington, giving up three goals on 23 shots, including Alex Ovechkin's game-winner with 2:40 remaining.

The Czech veteran has been landing in the loss column a lot recently, as he's just 3-6-1 in his last 10 starts. It certainly hasn't been his fault, though -- this was a tough matchup and the Islanders' offense has been terrible recently. In those seven losses, the Isles have provided only seven total goals of support. Thomas Greiss has been stuck to the bench since early January, but with the Isles likely looking to shake things up, it seems likely the backup will draw Saturday's start in Detroit.

News
Bailey notched a goal -- his first since Dec. 21 -- and an assist Thursday in a 3-2 loss to the Capitals.

He was a driving force behind the Isles' offense in this one, but it wasn't quite enough. Bailey's sprung out of the All-Star break with three points in two games -- quite the change of pace from the three points he'd collected in his previous dozen contests. The 26-year-old's ice time has fallen off recently, dropping into the mid-13-minute range from the approximately 16 minutes per game he was averaging for much of the season, but it's possible that Bailey could regain top-six ice time at the expense of Nikolay Kulemin if he can put a little hot streak together.

News
Tavares picked up a goal and an assist Tuesday in a 5-3 win over the Wild.

That's now five points in the last three games for Tavares, and it's nice to see him exit the All-Star break looking good. The addition of Mikhail Grabovski to the top line alongside Ryan Strome and Tavares has paid dividends recently, but the jury's still out on whether that's a sustainable arrangement. Owners of the star center have to be hoping it is, as they've been disappointed by statistical regression in practically every meaningful fantasy category this year.

News
Berube turned aside 40 of 43 shots Tuesday, coming away with his first NHL win by a 5-3 score over the Wild.

It was only his second career start, with the first having come in early October. While Berube has been outstanding in limited AHL work this year -- 4-1 with a .960 save mark and 1.25 GAA in five games -- the 24-year-old has never put up numbers remotely resembling those at any stage of his career. The fact that he drew this start at all comes as a surprise, as the Isles already have two healthy goalies in Jaroslav Halak and Thomas Greiss -- both of whom have been exceptional this year. Expect to see Berube return to the AHL soon and attempt to keep his momentum going.
