News
Boychuk (shoulder) has been activated from injured reserve ahead of Saturday's road match with the Red Wings, Brian Compton of NHL.com reports.

Boychuk should be ready to rock Saturday after missing the past 12 games with a dislocated shoulder in the final contest of 2015. The 32-year-old blueliner is averaging 21:33 of ice time this season, including 1:06 with the man advantage. He's grabbed 14 points in 38 games while carrying a plus-9 rating.

News
Clutterbuck registered a goal and an assist in Sunday's win over the Oilers.

Clutterbuck helped set up the game's opening goal, but the contest was well out of hand by the time he lit the lamp, as the tally gave the Isles a 7-1 lead. The 28-year-old isn't known to light up the scoresheet, having entered the contest with just one point in his last 10 games, but he's now scored 11 goals on the year.

News
Greiss turned aside 30 of 31 shots in Sunday's win over the Oilers.

It was a strong performance from Greiss, but this one was never in doubt as the Islanders poured on eight goals, five of which came before the Oilers got their lone tally. The 30-year-old has been effective when called upon, registering a 2.26 GAA and .929 save percentage in limited action.

News
Nielen dished out a pair of assists in Sunday's win over the Oilers.

Nielsen entered the contest with just one point in his last four games, but it was a huge night all around as the Isles tacked on eight goals in the blowout win. The 31-year-old also finished the game with a plus-2 rating to bring him even on the year in that department to go along with 33 points.

Jaroslav Halak, # 41

News
Halak surrendered four goals on 13 shots in a 5-1 loss to the Red Wings on Saturday, ultimately getting pulled in favor of Jean-Francois Berube during the second period.

Halak was tested early and often and even allowed a pair of goals to Kyle Quincey and Mike Green, two defenders that had four goals combined heading into the contest. Despite turning in his third consecutive dud performance, Halak has respectable rate stats that include a 2.28 GAA and .917 save percentage this season.

News
Okposo tallied a hat-trick and also provided an assist in Sunday's win over the Oilers.

It was a monster performance for Okposo, with two of the goals coming on the power play, as he was a big part of the Islanders' easy 8-1 win. The 27-year-old is now up to 41 points and is on his way to eclipsing the 60-point mark for the second time in his career.

Josh Bailey, # 12

News
Bailey notched a goal -- his first since Dec. 21 -- and an assist Thursday in a 3-2 loss to the Capitals.

He was a driving force behind the Isles' offense in this one, but it wasn't quite enough. Bailey's sprung out of the All-Star break with three points in two games -- quite the change of pace from the three points he'd collected in his previous dozen contests. The 26-year-old's ice time has fallen off recently, dropping into the mid-13-minute range from the approximately 16 minutes per game he was averaging for much of the season, but it's possible that Bailey could regain top-six ice time at the expense of Nikolay Kulemin if he can put a little hot streak together.

News
Tavares tallied a goal and two assists in Sunday's win over the Oilers.

The Islanders' offense exploded for eight goals Sunday, and Tavares was a major part of that as he recorded what would end up going as the game-winner early in the first period before setting up a pair of power-play tallies. The 25-year-old continues to roll with six points in his last four games and is now up to 40 on the season.

News
Leddy dished out three assists and finished with a plus-4 rating in Sunday's win over the Oilers.

It was arguably Leddy's most productive night of the season, as the Isles cruised to an 8-1 win. The defenseman hasn't been lighting the lamp himself much this season, but he's collected 20 helpers and could approach the 40-point plateau for the first time in his career with a strong finish to the season.

Ryan Strome, # 18

GPGAPTS+/-PIM

News
Strome has been an offensive disappointment for the Islanders with only five goals and 14 points so far this season.

Strome has the talent to be a dangerous playmaker but has yet to find that kind of consistency so far this season. He also has a tendency to be soft in his defensive zone coverage which has led him to being benched a time or two. Still, the Isles keep giving him chances as he is currently on the top line with John Tavares so a resurgence is not out of the question.

Anders Lee, # 27

News
Lee has only scored three goals in his last 30 games.

Lee just hasn't been able to find any kind of goal scoring consistency this season. He only has seven goals on the season putting him well behind the 25 goal pace he scored last year. His struggles have also seen him firmly implanted on the third line with little to no power play time. It would seem unlikely at this time that his season will take a turn for the better.
