Nick Schultz, # 55
YEAR-TO-DATE STATS
GPGAPTS+/-PIM
24044010

News
Schultz played just 14:54 during Thursday's win over Minnesota.

The veteran rearguard has played just 23 games this season and has only four assists. Considering his lack of playing time and underwhelming offensive numbers, there is no reason to make Schultz a fantasy priority in any setting.

News
Mason allowed two goals on 27 shots in a 6-2 victory against the Penguins on Sunday.

This is the second time in a week and a half Mason and the Flyers were able to knock off the defending champions. Pittsburgh was at the end of a long road trip in the first matchup, but for this one, Pittsburgh didn't play Saturday and Philadelphia did. Mason turned aside 48 of 50 shots in the two games. Those two games have helped Mason improve his numbers in March. He owns a .918 save percentage and 2.32 GAA in the last 11 games.

Andrew MacDonald, # 47
YEAR-TO-DATE STATS
GPGAPTS+/-PIM

News
MacDonald recorded a plus-2 rating over 25:21 of ice time during Thursday's win over Minnesota.

The veteran's lone fantasy appeal is in the blocked shots column (137 through 64 games), as his lack of offensive production (two goals, 16 points and 55 shots) don't tilt the scales enough in the majority of seasonal settings. Additionally, he's not receiving many power-play looks and is beginning more five-on-five shifts in the defensive zone this season (52.8 percent). You'll want to aim higher than MacDonald in most formats.

Michal Neuvirth, # 30
YEAR-TO-DATE STATS
GPW-L-OTSOSV%GAA

News
Neuvirth made 20 saves on 21 shots but that wasn't good enough, as the Flyers fell to the Blue Jackets 1-0.

Although it's great to see Neuvirth post his first strong start in more than a month, it was wasted because the Flyers couldn't solve Sergei Bobrovsky. Neuvirth hasn't put together a good season, but he came into Saturday with a .926 save percentage during day games and that will only improve after Saturday. If owners need him as a stream option, he's trustworthy in the afternoon, but Neuvirth doesn't provide much else value.

News
Voracek scored his 18th goal of the season into an empty net during Thursday's win over Minnesota.

The tally improved Voracek to 18 goals and 56 points for the campaign and also moved him ahead of his 55-point showing from last year. While he remains a rock-solid fantasy asset, it might be time to call his 2014-15 outburst (22 goals and 81 points) an outlier and not the norm. Additionally, entering his age-28 season next year, Voracek could also be another step closer to the end of his offensive prime.

News
Gudas scored an empty-netter in a 6-2 victory over the Penguins on Sunday.

The 26-year-old has four times as many penalty minutes (84) than points (21) this season, so unless owners want him for the PIM category, then he really isn't fantasy relevant. Having said that, Gudas has been a well balanced fantasy contributor in March with two goals, six points, a plus-10 rating and 23 penalty minutes in 13 games.

Chris VandeVelde, # 76
YEAR-TO-DATE STATS
GPGAPTS+/-PIM
756612-716

News
VandeVelde has failed to register a point in each of his past eight games.

The 29-year-old pivot has just a one goal, two points and 35 shots through his past 44 games and remains completely off the fantasy radar. After all, he's averaged just 11:40 of ice time per outing during that stretch and is locked into a depth role.

News
Read scored an unassisted goal during Thursday's win over Minnesota.

Read has seen his fantasy stock decline consistently over the past three years, and he's registered just 10 goals and 18 points this season. Those numbers don't tip the virtual scales enough to warrant ownership in the majority of seasonal settings. It's also worth noting that the 30-year-old winger enters the final year of his contract with Philadelphia next season, which will likely prove to be a make-or-break campaign for the veteran.

Shayne Gostisbehere, # 53
YEAR-TO-DATE STATS
GPGAPTS+/-PIM
6972633-2128

News
Gostisbehere recorded a pair of points - a goal and an assist- a plus-3 rating and five shots in a 6-2 drubbing of the Penguins on Sunday night.

This snapped a five-game pointless streak for the young defenseman, and it was his first goal since his team's last trip to Pittsburgh for the outdoor game at the end of February. If he could play as he does against the Penguins all the time, fantasy owners would really have something, but overall, it's been a very disappointing sophomore campaign. Gostisbehere has already played more games than last season, and he has 10 fewer goals, 14 fewer points and a minus-21 rating. He has more shots than last season, but as some might have expected, he hasn't come anywhere close to repeating his 11.2 shooting percentage from 2015-16.

Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, # 78
YEAR-TO-DATE STATS
GPGAPTS+/-PIM

News
Bellemare failed to score for the 28th consecutive game during Thursday's win over Minnesota.

Earlier this month, Bellemare was re-upped with a two-year contract extension and named an alternate captain. However, his offensive production hardly warranted either recognition. Perhaps there is more happening behind the scenes, but until leadership qualities and camaraderie are recognized in fantasy leagues, Bellemare remains a complete afterthought.
