News
Streit scored a goal and assisted on Michael Raffl's game-winner against Edmonton on Thursday.

After surprisingly providing nine points in the season's first dozen games, Streit went ice cold for more than a month, picking up only four points over 16 games since -- including just a lonely assist in his last seven contests. The 38-year-old blueliner's overall pace is better than half a point per game, which is solid production on the blue line, but his durability and endurance at this point in his career remain open questions.

News
Mason was tagged for five goals on 33 shots Thursday against the Oilers, but he took home a 6-5 win.

Mason came in on a five-game winning streak, and he stretched it to six despite delivering by far his ugliest outing in that span. He fell behind 2-0 by the second period, saw his team take a 3-2 lead, and then gave up three straight goals to fall behind -- only to get bailed out by the Flyers scoring three consecutive goals of their own in the third period. The season stats are still ugly, but Mason's offense has been quite supportive lately and he has no competition for starts with Michal Neuvirth (lower body) on IR.

News
Simmonds scored two goals for the second consecutive game Tuesday against Florida, netting one on the power play and one at even strength in a 3-2 overtime win.

Simmonds accounted for both of the Flyers' regulation tallies, then ceded the spotlight to Jakub Voracek for the game-winner. He also struck twice in Sunday's win over Nashville, with these two contests suddenly propelling Simmonds into a tie for third in the NHL with 15 goals. The 28-year-old's eight power-play goals rank first, and as usual, he's providing a healthy complement of hits and PIM, albeit at a somewhat slower pace than last season. Considering that slight dip in physicality is accompanied by the best scoring rate of Simmonds' career, his fantasy owners will surely take it.

News
Voracek exploded for a power-play goal, three assists and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 6-5 victory over Edmonton.

His last seven games have been excellent, as Voracek's stacked up 11 points (four on the power play) while going plus-6 in that span and firing 26 shots on net. After scoring at a nearly point-per-game clip in his second season with Philadelphia, he slumped to 55 points in 73 games last year, but Voracek's bounced right back to elite status -- he's got 28 points in 29 games.

Claude Giroux, # 28

News
Giroux scored twice, added a power-play assist and went plus-3 in Thursday's 6-5 win over Edmonton.

His goal 12:11 into the third period tied the game at five apiece, putting the finishing touches on Giroux's third multi-point game in the last five. Over his last eight contests, the star center has racked up 11 points accompanied by a plus-10 rating. That's pushed his rating up into positive status -- good news for a guy who's finished negative in three of the last four seasons.

News
Gudas returned to the lineup Thursday with an assist and a plus-3 rating in a 6-5 win over Edmonton.

He wasted no time putting his three-game absence due to illness behind him -- not to mention his seven-game pointless skid. Gudas provides most of his fantasy value with hits and PIM, but he's got just enough offensive skill to make his overall line pop in formats that count the tough-guy categories.

Injuries
Oblique - Expected to be out until at least Jan 1 (Updated - 12/7/16)
News
Read (oblique) was designated for injured reserve Wednesday.

Considering Read is expected to miss the next four weeks, it shouldn't be a surprise the Flyers put him on IR. Despite a hot start to the season in which he recorded five goals in five games, the winger has been ice cold of late, as he has registered a paltry three helpers in his previous 15 appearances. When he is cleared to return, fantasy owners may want to hold off on utilizing the 30-year-old until he can get his season back on track.
