News
Vasilevskiy will be the the No. 1 goalie for Team Russia at the IIHF World Championships next month, Sergey Demidov of Russia's NHL.com reports.

The 22-year-old netminder saw his fantasy stock surge with the Lightning trade away Ben Bishop to the Kings at the trade deadline, and now he'll further bolster his hockey resume as Russia's chief puck plugger on the international stage. Of course, Vasilevskiy can thank a fatigued Sergei Bobrovsky for his backing out of the tournament and essentially relinquishing the coveted role. Considering that Vasilevskiy was the 19th overall pick in the 2012 draft, has low miles on a hulking frame, and entrenched as the No. 1 for both Russia and Tampa Bay, he won't be a forgotten man in fantasy drafts this fall.

News
Kucherov has been openly critical of his teammates following Tampa's failure to get to the postseason, reports Sportsnet.ca.

Kucherov originally spoke to Sovietsky Sports in his mother country. "They got their money and stopped working." said Kucherov, who performed well this season despite the line juggling he saw. He set career marks in goals (40) and points (85). Right now, this situation doesn't warrant a trade -- Kucherov is adamant he wants to play in just a single NHL city. But bad blood is bad blood.

Point will play for Team Canada at the 2017 IIHF World Championship.

Point had an extremely productive rookie campaign with the Lightning in 2016-17, racking up 40 points (18 goals, 22 assists) and 122 shots on goal in 68 games. The 21-year-old forward will be, at the very least, a strong depth option in all fantasy formats next season.
